Here’s one close to home. The Garner PD caught themselves a chicken restaurant thief.
(SUSPECT) was observed by a Garner Police officer early on 12/27 on Waterville Street in Garner. The officer attempted to stop him when he abruptly left the empty cul-de-sac suspiciously. (SUSPECT) refused to stop, and the officer pursued him until he was apprehended on Holland Church Rd.
Once stopped, officers discovered a stolen cash register inside the vehicle. The register has been traced to a burglary that had just occurred at Smithfield’s Chicken and Barbecue on Fayetteville Rd. Based on surveillance video and other evidence, investigators have charged (SUSPECT) with the burglary of Smithfield’s Chicken.
And who is our criminal mastermind? That daring thief who is so stupid that he carries the evidence of his crime around in the car, waiting for a cop to act suspiciously in front of?
This guy’s got more convictions than I have socks. In fact, good police procedure would be to simply follow this guy around and wait until he inevitably broke the law. When they used to say “round up the usual suspects” they were talking about this guy.
Garner Police are sharing information with other agencies to determine if (SUSPECT) may have been involved in additional crimes before being arrested. Wake County Sheriff’s investigators have charged (SUSPECT) with a December 25th burglary at The Six Forks Grocery at 11716 Six Forks Rd in Raleigh.
He’s a one man crime wave. Perhaps another 20 years in jail? The 15 or so he’s already spent there don’t seem to have taught him a lesson.
