A fifth joins the growing boycott list

I received an email today from York Arms. They’ve not only cut off New York agencies, they’ve cancelled actual orders.

Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York. As a result we have halted sales of rifles, short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, machine guns, and silencers to New York governmental agencies.

 Many smaller companies might not have any New York LE/Government customers, so boycotting them is a cost-free move. York cancelled actual orders. And I love the scare quotes around “civilian.” It’s clear that York Firearms agrees that the police are civilians, no matter what the police might tell us.

    York makes excellent product, and something tells me they won’t have any issues making up the sales.

    I love the unspoken “screw you” at the end of that last sentence.

    I’m also curious how much Wally lost doing that; I think it would be nice if the gun community could somehow compensate him for that.
