Police spotted a car going the wrong way on College Drive at 3:23 a.m., according to a news release from the High Point Police Department.

Officers tried to make a traffic stop, but the car fled slowly, then increased speed, still going the wrong way, according to the news release. Police called off the chase at Kivett Drive and Main Street.

The car then went north on North Main Street and headed for the hospital, where it ran into the entrance of the emergency department.

I know, it’s hard to see Emergency Departments. They camouflage them so well these days. Maybe the ED just jumped out in front of him.
