Remember what I said? Why isn’t the mom being charged?

I posted about this already. To recap, mom, on probation for a felony drug conviction left her baby with her sex offender boyfriend.

Well it looks like the mom will be charged in the case after all.

A mother and her boyfriend face involuntary manslaughter charges in connection with the death of a 2-year-old girl last week, Gaston County police say.

But it gets MUCH worse

On Wednesday, additional charges of felony child abuse were filed against Lanham and Wells. During a bond hearing, the judge indicated indictments would be sent to the Grand Jury on Monday.

FELONY child abuse? For leaving the kid alone with a sex offender? Why?

The Medical Examiner’s Office says Addison Lanham had suffered a broken leg, and an infection had developed. The leg was not properly set, according to medical reports. In addition, Addison had developed the bacterial disease MRSA.

“The investigation revealed there was a pattern of injury and negligence that led to Addison’s death,” police Capt. Jay Human said Wednesday.

The child was two, had a infected broken leg that wasn’t properly set and had MRSA. To recap once more, here are their records.

Under the jail. Tied to the bumper of a cross town bus and dragged to their deaths as a warning to others. I can’t think of a punishment bad enough for this.

But at least it wasn’t a “Gun Death” which means that the gun grabbers don’t care about it. I’m sure that the child was happy that it was suffering and dying with a broken leg and MRSA rather than getting shot.

She let a registered sex offender watch her child

Here’s one I don’t understand. Why is it that no matter how stupid the mother, the death of the child is always blamed on the man?

A registered sex offender who’d been babysitting (Baby) has been charged with failing to change his address. But as of Friday night, he had not been charged in connection with the toddler’s death.

So mom is living in a hotel with 2 year old baby. Her boyfriend is a registered sex offender. She leaves the child in the care of Mr. Registered Sex Offender and goes to work. Baby mysteriously dies. So far, no way to show that she died due to anything her babysitter did or didn’t do, but he still gets in trouble for failing to change his address and with babysitting a child while being a sex offender.

Absent in the story was anything at all about the mom, especially any indication as to why she was living in a hotel instead of an apartment, and why she was living with a sex offender. So let’s go to the State’s database

Oh! That puts a different spin on things, doesn’t it?

In the end, it may turn out that the child died of something that wasn’t either person’s fault. But there’s no excuse for the mother (Still on probation!) placing her child in the care of someone who was legally barred from being around children.

A friend of a friend killed Tuesday

I didn’t know the man, but my friend did. She’s lost a friend, and for what?

A Creedmoor couple has been charged with murder after the body of a Holly Springs man was found inside a storage shed on their property, authorities said Wednesday.

Here’s what people don’t seem to get about murder. How wrong do you have to be in the head before killing someone seems like a reasonable option? We can all agree that it’s ok to kill in order to defend innocent life. But what caused this?

[Granville County Sheriff Brindell] Wilkins said the death resulted from a love triangle.

Normal people don’t kill other people over a “love triangle.” The type of person who kills over a “love triangle” is already beyond help. They usually identify themselves by their past behavior. This one was no different.

Note that the common factor here was drugs. The victim, in this case, had no convictions. So we have two criminals taking down a decent citizen, killed by a “blow to the head.”

Sickening.

Another “Gun Death” that the gun grabbers don’t care about

Here’s a guy about to go on trial for a rape and murder in 2010.

Taft, 62, of Greenville, was at a friend’s home in Raleigh recovering from plastic surgery when her sister found her in bed March 6, 2010, bloodied and unresponsive. It was while Taft was being treated at WakeMed that health care workers realized she had been sexually assaulted and beaten in the head with a blunt object multiple times. She died March 9.

Our suspect, of course, has a felony record.

The gun grabbers tell you that it’s only gun violence that we should worry about. How about raped and beaten over the head with a blunt object violence? Don’t you think we should consider that as well?

Instead of focusing on the gun, let’s focus on what sort of person could do something like this. If only there was a way to identify the sort of person likely to commit crimes.

The worst sort of roommate

Another murder that the gun grabbers will ignore.

A Lexington man was sentenced to up to about 26 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to charges that he stabbed his roommate to death.

And what kind of person does this?

Convict

At the time of the murder, he had been out of prison for about a month after 9 years.

But no guns were used in this murder, so it isn’t “Gun Violence.” I’ll bet that the victim’s last thoughts were “Thank God this guy isn’t murdering me with a gun!” Or not.

New rule, don’t marry anyone who is a registered sex offender

Another rule to live by. Unfortunately, this woman paid the price for failing to heed that simple rule.

A Durham man has been accused of killing his wife and then kidnapping their three children.

…

Police in Maine said (Suspect) was charged with having sex with a 13-year-old female when he was 20-years-old. The victim in the case told investigators that she consented to having sex with (Suspect). Because the girl was 13, (Suspect) was charged with gross sexual assault.

Waterville Police believed (Suspect) and another man, 19-year-old (Associate), were associates and would drive to Maine from North Carolina together to meet up with the young girls.

The kids have been rescued safely. What the story doesn’t say is that in addition to being a registered sex offender (and slimeball) he’s a convicted drug felon.

Unfortunately for the gun grabbers, no guns were used in the murder so it’s not “gun violence.” I’m sure that is a great comfort to the murdered woman.

More info on the decapitated man in the freezer case (Video)

So back in October, Wake County Sheriff’s Deputies found a man’s dead body decapitated and stuffed in a freezer in the basement of a Raleigh home. Now more details of the investigation have been released.

(Victim)’s body was found in the basement of a home on Ray Road on October 6, 2010. He was reported missing on September 1.

Investigators say (Mom Suspect) is the teen’s mother and was (Victim)’s live-in girlfriend. She assumed his last name at some point during their relationship, but they never legally married.

According to search warrants in the case released late last year, investigators believe (Mom Suspect) and the teens all took part in the planning of the murder, participated, and then cleaned up the crime scene to conceal the killing.

Sources told ABC11 Monday that (Mom Suspect) was the main ringleader and she convinced (Son Suspect) to hit his father with a hammer while he slept. The sources said the first blow didn’t kill him, but a second one did, although not immediately.

Warrants state detectives suspect the killing happened in January, 2009 six days before (Son Suspect)’s birthday – meaning he was 13 at the time.

So they had the 13 year old smash dad over the head with a hammer while he was sleeping, and when the first whack didn’t get the job done, they had him give dad another. Then they sat and watched him die. Fun people. But wait, there’s more!

The son was the only member of the family without an adult arrest record. The teens are both now charged as adults in the murder.

So we have domestic violence initiated and planned by the wife, we have known criminals as both perpetrators and victim, and the entire crime was committed without a gun. So what else are the gun grabbers wrong about?

Remember, according to the Duluth Model, men are the aggressors in domestic violence

Remember our first discussion of the sexist Duluth Model of domestic violence, men are always the perpetrators of domestic violence and women always the victim. So how do you explain this?

A 25-year-old North Carolina man was stabbed to death early Monday morning at the Tioga Hotel in downtown Merced — and the victim’s wife is behind bars on suspicion of murder.

I know, one incident does not disprove the theory. But in Merced County, it appears that they are running 50-50

The death is the fourth fatal domestic incident reported in less than a year in Merced County,

(Suspect 1), 41, was arrested in September for allegedly killing his wife, elementary school teacher (Victim 1), in Merced.

([Female]Suspect 2), 42, was also arrested in September for allegedly stabbing 44-year-old ([Male]Victim 2) to death.

In October, 48-year-old (Suspect 3) took the life his his wife, 44-year-old (Victim 3), with a single shot to the head. He then turned the gun on himself.

No doubt some will still find a way to blame the men for their own deaths.

Who needs a gun when you can build your own electric chair in Sarah Brady Paradise

So what do you do at 61, when your wife of 18 years asks for a divorce? I recommend that you do not follow the example of this guy

Andrew Castle, 61, was so furious at the crumbling of his 18 year marriage he planned to rig a metal armchair to the mains – and invited wife Margaret in ”for a chat.”

Castle asked unwitting Margaret to sit in the chair so he could knock her her out with a cosh and throw on the switch.

But Margaret, 61, got up out of the seat and the couple then got caught up in a violent struggle. Castle landed several blows on his wife’s head with the rubber cosh but she escaped through a side door.

Let’s define some British terms here. “The mains” are the electric wires. A “rubber cosh” is a sort of rubber police baton.

So this ass decided that if he couldn’t stay married to his wife, he’d electrocute her. Kind of makes a mockery of the idea that if you restrict guns, violence will end.
