Teenager kills wife beating father

North Carolina has a law that makes it a misdemeanor to allow a minor to have access to a firearm. Luckily the law was not followed in this case.

Surry County deputies said a teenager saw (Suspect) violently assaulting his wife. The teen was the woman’s son, deputies told WXII. Neither the wife nor the son were identified by name.

The son, who was at home during the incident, tried to intervene but wasn’t successful, deputies said.

The son then shot (Suspect) once in the head after fearing (Suspect) would kill his wife, deputies said. (Suspect) died of the resulting gunshot wound, which came from a .410 shotgun, deputies said.

So this guy was married to the teen’s mother and was beating her so severely that the teen feared death or serious bodily injury to his mom. What sort of person would treat his wife this way?

The cops knew all about this thug.

Law enforcement officials have responded to 78 calls to the home in the last five years.

(Suspect) had a lengthy history of domestic abuse, deputies said.

The justice system had all the chances to correct this violent thug. Sadly, they failed and left a young man to solve the problem.

Does she get a break because of who he was?

I know that we’re not supposed to encourage this sort of thing, but the story seems to be missing an important element.
News stories are supposed to contain the Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How. Let’s focus on the Who. They give us the names and even the ages, but who were they, really?
She is on active probation for a misdemeanor larceny conviction. He, on the other hand, has a criminal record that stretches back to when I was in High School.
We should not, as a society, encourage summary execution as a punishment for pissing off your significant other. But not only does this illustrate how common it is for the previously convicted criminals to murder and get murdered, it raises the question of how a person with this length of a criminal record was out in public and subject to being run over in the first place.

Loser and bigger loser get caught by victims

In the grand scheme of criminals, these two have to be the biggest losers out there.

The people who use check cashing places do not have other options. They’d probably use a bank and have direct deposit if they could. Taking money from their hands is probably taking all the money that they have, and they are likely to react poorly.
The story does not say that Suspect 1 was taken to the hospital for severe injuries, which tells me that the pack didn’t beat him senseless. While I have a certain sympathy for beating robbers to within an inch of their lives, it is probably best that they turned him over to the proper authorities.

Why was my son killed?

I know we are supposed to feel terrible for the mothers of people murdered. Whatever happened, their mothers probably loved them. Case in point.
He was a good boy. He just hung around with the wrong people.
Judging by that record, HE was the wrong people. Three separate convictions for assault on a female, along with possession with intent to sell, possession, communicating threats, larceny and possession of stolen goods.
He was a bad person. That doesn’t justify his death, but it certainly  tempers my feelings towards his murder a bit. When you get involved in crime, death is an ordinary business hazard. It’s like rock climbing without a rope. Sure everyone feels bad if you fall, but we all know that you chose to do it.
When the gun grabbers scream bloody murder about “Gun Death™” remember that it’s murders like this that make up the majority of killings. They hope that you won’t look too deeply at who is getting killed and who is doing the killing. They are hoping that you are stupid enough to believe their implication that regular gun owners suddenly snap and start killing innocent bystanders.

Look beyond the story they tell and see the actual people involved.

Brotherly love

Two brothers got into it, again. This time one was left dead.
What was the difference between these two brothers and the many fights that happen between brothers all over the country?
Strangely, most of these convictions don’t show up on the public records.
The gun grabbers will delight in telling us how yet another murder happened to a person who “knew his killer.” They will be overjoyed to learn that once again, a gun was used to kill a “member of the family” rather than an intruder. They will dance about in the blood of the dead brother trying  to convince everyone that they need to fear their family members with guns more than they need to fear random attack. They will never point out to you that the killer in this case was a known criminal.

An actual Armed to the Terror case!

Most of the time we hear about someone getting arrested for “Going Armed to the Terror of the People” in North Carolina it’s some overzealous cop tacking charges on an open carrier. Not this time.
You know, I think that qualifies under the statute. Then there’s his friend.
Hmm. Sounds like a wild St. Patricks Day. Were they just college students, drunk on green beer, whooping it up after midnight? Let’s look at the records
It’s just like you would imagine. The sort of person who runs about screaming at people while waving a semi-auto rifle at them has a criminal record already. The guy who loaned him the rifle was a felon, and it was illegal for him to possess the rifle.
Don’t worry though. The local gun grabbers will demand that people like you and me be punished and our rights further limited to “prevent” future crimes like this. As if more laws will slow down the criminals who are perfectly happy breaking the laws we already have.

Sampson County shooter caught

I posted about the two Sampson County people who got shot, one fatally. Well the cops have caught their suspect.
Surprise, he’s NOT a felon.
But with all the other charges he’s been convicted of it looks like it’s only be accident that he’s never been convicted of a felony.
So let’s see, a criminal, shoots two other criminals, one of whom dies. And this is somehow the fault of the law abiding gun owners? Who wants to bet that the gun grabbers will tell us that this all can be fixed with yet more ineffective laws that only affect the law abiding?

So this lady calls 911 and says, “hey, release my man or I’m going to blow your house up in 10 minutes.”

Drugs, it’s got to be the drugs.

You always hear the same thing from the mothers of thugs. They were getting their lives together. They were good boys. He was a good boy led astray when he got in with the wrong crowd. It’s never true, but that’s what they always say.
This is good journalism.




If all you knew was what was in the DOC records,
You would think that two of the four were law abiding citizens led astray. Their actual records give a different picture. This is definitely a Read The Whole Thing story.
Great job WCNT in getting some answers.
