According to the Wilson County Sheriff, the double murder I posted on this morning has now been solved.
The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 45-year-old man Wednesday morning in connection with a double homicide earlier this week.
Watch the video below.
As an aside, I wish our Sheriff wore his uniform more often when speaking to the press. The Wilson County Sheriff looks very professional in his uniform. To me, it conveys respect to the office he was elected to for him to appear dressed in his formal uniform for a press briefing.
I’m not surprised, are you?
According to search warrants, investigators learned through interviewing witnesses that (Suspect) had threatened to kill (Victim 2) in the past if he ever caught her with another man.
(Victim 1), (Victim 2) and (Suspect) all knew each other, Woodard said, but he didn’t elaborate on the nature of their relationships.
That’s a strange statement for a married man to make, don’t you think?
(Suspect) was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury in 1996, according to state Department of Corrections records. He also has multiple DWI convictions on his record, as well as a breaking and entering charge from 1991.
Of course, with a criminal record like that, it’s clear that he had some serious boundary issues.
