It was a home invasion shooting, but luckily the victim will survive.
A home occupied by college students in a quiet neighborhood became the target of a violent home invasion in which one of the students was shot with a military-style rifle.
Four men were facing charges in the attack, which happened shortly after 4 a.m. Monday as the suspects kicked in the front door at 15 Meadowview Terrace, off Reems Creek Road.
Unusually for this sort of thing, there don’t seem to be drugs involved. At least the cops aren’t reporting it.
He said the intruders left quickly after stealing a backpack, a wallet and a few other items. Warrants at the Buncombe County magistrate’s office estimated the total value of the items taken at $300.
So they were murderous incompetents who couldn’t even find a lucrative score.
The shooter was Suspect 1, who was also the only person in the gang that the victim knew.
(Suspect 3) has pending court dates in April and May for traffic violations including speeding and driving with a revoked license.
So we have a person shot by a person he knew, so the anti-gunners will tout that in their statistics. They will conveniently forget to mention that he was already a felon with multiple convictions.
