What kind of person settles a domestic dispute by pushing his girlfriend down, causing her to hit her head?
When offices arrived, they talked to (Victim)’s boyfriend, 31-year-old (Suspect). He told police that he and (Victim) got into a fight on O’Hara Drive in southwest Charlotte. He said he had pushed her, and that she fell and hit her head.
Police said the couple then left that address and went about nine miles away to a home on West Boulevard, where the fight continued. At some point (Victim) became unconscious and was taken to the hospital.
Was it one more person who was law abiding right up until he snapped?
Court records show (Suspect) has been charged with assault on a female eight times in Mecklenburg County since 1998 but convicted only once. That was in 2001.
In another case, he was convicted of simple assault instead and was ordered to seek help from New Options for Violent Actions (NOVA), a batterer intervention program, records show.
His other convictions include soliciting a crime against nature, aiding and abetting prostitution, resisting an officer and drug offenses.
Once again we see that people who solve their problems with violence usually have a criminal track record.
Unfortunately for the gun grabbers, no gun was used in this killing. I am sure that is a great comfort to the victim.
