Doesn’t he know he isn’t allowed to do that?

Felons may not possess firearms. No one can sell firearms legally to felons. It’s just plain illegal all the way around.

An Asheville man was arrested Thursday on gun charges.

And what sort of person does the Asheville PD arrest for “gun charges?”

Suspect

So he possessed the gun illegally. He carried it concealed illegally.

It’s almost as if he just doesn’t care what the law says.

Make sure to take a look at his conviction sheet. Look how many charges he was convicted of, yet he only got a bit over a year for it all. Don’t you feel great knowing that if he steals from one car he gets prison, but if he steals from 20 cars, robbery 2-19 are free?

Why, if we weren’t the type to avoid jumping to conclusions, we might think he’s a criminal, mightn’t we?

  2. Shocking, just shocking!

In all seriousness though, and I know I’m preaching to the choir, when the hell are we going to start cracking down on these people? I sometimes feel like there’s this big conspiracy to let these laws stay in place in the hopes it drives the stats up to justify more of a police state. The penalties are so in-congruent with the crimes when you compare them that it makes you wonder.
