Here’s how you take a little problem and turn it into a big one

You have the right to remain silent. You should probably exercise that right. If you can.

A private police sergeant charged a Raleigh man with attempted bribery Sunday after the officer said the man offered $500 not to be taken to jail for his arrest on charges of not paying and disorderly conduct at an IHOP restaurant on Capital Boulevard.

The officer was a Capitol Special Police officer working off duty as private security in the IHOP. The fool who couldn’t keep his mouth shut is dumber than his namesake.

Man, even my dog isn’t that dumb.

  1. Reminds me of the classic quote Ron White made after getting bounced out of a bar and the police show up: “I had the right to remain silent but didn’t have the ability.”
