The family that kidnaps together…

It’s a pretty sad state of affairs when this is  your family

Gastonia police are seeking the public’s help to find three people they believe are responsible for a string of kidnappings and robberies.

Police said (Suspect 1) is the uncle of (Suspect 2) and (Suspect 3) is a family friend.

We know they’ve all been arrested before. The cops handed out previous booking photos to the media.

Maybe they’re hoping for adjoining cells in prison.

Authorized Journalists call him a “young man”

Isn’t that nice. Even as they inform us he had a criminal record as long as his arm, they refer to him as a “young man.” Not a criminal, not a thug, not even as a White Hispanic.

“He’s been to prison five separate times since 2009,” state corrections spokesman Keith Acree said. “He had numerous infractions while in prison, mostly for assaulting staff.”

But he’s still a “young man” to the headline writers.

(Suspect)’s troubled life ended Monday night, when NCCU police officers shot and killed him after they say he fired two shotgun blasts at them as they approached. Police were looking for him in connection with a burglary and armed robbery that had occurred earlier in the evening. Durham officials reported to NCCU police that a man matching his description was one of two suspects who had broken into a home near downtown.

Oh, his life was “troubled?” How about the lives of all the people he terrorized?

Suspect

Sounds to me like he fell squarely into the “better off dead” category.

Don’t date murderers

You’d think it would be obvious, but let me spell it out for you. If you’re checking out some guy and you find out he murdered his wife and spent time in prison for it, find another guy.

A family is devastated after their loved ones were found stabbed and shot to death at an Anson County home.

It isn’t like there weren’t warning signs

(Suspect) has a concerning past. In 1992, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison for murdering his wife.

He was released in 1997. Family members said he and (Victim 1) began dating about a year later.

From there, authorities said there was a history of violence and just last month deputies removed (Suspect) from (Victim 1)’s home.

Five years for Murder 2? Are you kidding me?

Victim 2

So even her new boyfriend was a felon.

Maybe she had bad taste in men, but that shouldn’t be a death sentence.

Autoplay video below the fold.

Gas station robbery

Quick work by the CMPD put two behind bars.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested two men accused of robbing a person at a gas station early Friday morning.

Police were able to track down (Suspect 1) and (Suspect 2) a few moments after the robbery.

They used a knife and cut the victim.

What a lovely pair of gentlemen to meet at the corner gas station!

He was a “great guy!”

The police in Charlotte have arrested their suspect in a recent murder. He’s even confessed. The local flora and fauna proclaim themselves puzzled as to why the victim would be targeted.

Many neighbors and friends of (Victim) were interviewed and proclaimed that (Victim) was a great guy and they don’t understand why this would happen to him.

Could this be the reason?

Victim

When you play with drugs, you take the risk that someone will eventually decide to harm you for it.

From disciplinary segregation to kidnapper in less than a month

He kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and his own child.

On Tuesday, police responded to 1012 Cherry Tree Ct., Bessmer City in reference to a missing person. Evidence found at the scene suggested the female victim and her 3-year-old child may have been assaulted and possibly taken against their will.

They tracked them down at her ex-boyfriend’s house.

Suspect

He was convicted of 5 felony drug charges and received “Special Probation” and a suspended sentence. He got his probation revoked and sent to Odom Prison for 3 months. Apparently he pissed off the prison officials so badly that in three months they had him in Disciplinary Segregation by the time he left. Then, less than a month later he’s assaulting and kidnapping his ex-girlfriend and his baby.

He probably figures that he’s never been punished for anything before, why would he get punished now? And he’s probably right.

Mom’s Demand “Action” freaks out over CHP holders in restaurants

So the embarrassingly named “Mom’s Demand Action” wants all moms, who they presume to be anti-gun, to cause trouble with restaurant staff because H937 will allow CHP holders to carry in restaurants that serve alcohol.

Moms are used to asking about guns in the home when our kids go on play dates or when they visit new friends. Beginning Oct. 1, we’ll also need to ask every time we go out to eat.

North Carolina’s newest gun bill, passed during the most recent legislative session, vastly expands the places where concealed carry weapons permit holders may bring loaded concealed firearms. Among the newly permissible locations will be bars and restaurants that serve alcohol. Nearly every restaurant I visit has at least a short wine and beer list. So, unless the owner opts out by posting a conspicuous sign prohibiting concealed weapons, I won’t know who—or what—I am sitting next to. Nor will the restaurant’s staff.

Oh, NOES! That ordinary person in the next booth, who isn’t bothering anyone, might be carrying a GUN!

Do people actually live like this? So terrified of an inanimate object that they pee their pants over the possibility that some law-abiding citizen might have permission from their local Sheriff to carry a gun?

I’m starting to think that the problem isn’t lack of education, it’s lack of medication. It’s not that they just don’t understand, it’s that they are just crazy.

Denizen of the Wake Co. Mens Shelter charged with statutory rape

This is why I don’t want to encourage homeless people hanging around.

A 30-year-old Raleigh man who lives at a shelter for the homeless was being held on $1.5 million bail Wednesday on three charges of statutory rape involving a 15-year-old girl.

And why was he living in the homeless shelter?

Suspect

Oh, because no one will let him anywhere near them.

You’ll find a lot of “homeless” people are homeless because they are criminals, druggies, drunks, and sex offenders.

The article that isn’t aimed at us

You’ve read it. Or at least heard about it. Another idiotic foreigner demanding that we “do something” about “gun violence.” It’s so bad, he says, that maybe the UN should intervene.

The annual toll from firearms in the US is running at 32,000 deaths and climbing, even though the general crime rate is on a downward path (it is 40% lower than in 1980). If this perennial slaughter doesn’t qualify for intercession by the UN and all relevant NGOs, it is hard to know what does.

Everyone from David Codrea on down has loudly and sometimes profanely quoted Leonidas at him, but I think they are all missing the point. This article wasn’t aimed at us, it was aimed at the British people and the rest of the British Commonwealth.

Why do the Canadians tell themselves lies about how Americans die outside emergency rooms because they don’t have health insurance? Because no one would put up with Canadian “free” healthcare, complete with extended wait times, unless they thought the alternative was worse.

Same thing with gun rights. In our globally connected world, arguments don’t stop at political boundaries. The gun rights crowd has loudly proclaimed our right to be armed and resist government interference in our lives. Do you think that the British public hasn’t heard us saying this? Do you think the Australians have missed it as well? Do you think the Indians lack the internet connections to read our own words telling them of the Rights of Englishmen that their former colonial overlords forgot to tell them about?

The author isn’t stupid enough to imagine that anyone would even consider invading the US. After we shot holes in every blue helmet we saw, they know we’d go overseas and shoot him too. No, what he is really doing is saying “See how bad it is in violent, evil America? Aren’t you glad you live in peaceful (Formerly Great) Britain? Don’t demand your ‘rights.’ Just enjoy the peace of being a ward of the State.”

The audience for his silly article is his own countrymen. The ones who might be tempted to question the government’s decision to disarm them. The ones who wonder what life would be like if they were citizens instead of subjects.

Sometimes the spots move a little

Leopards don’t change their spots. But sometimes the patterns change.

Police took a Durham man into custody Tuesday night on charges that he stole money from a customer at an ATM last month after shoving the customer away from the machine.

Now have a look at his record.

Suspect

He’s never been convicted of a direct crime of violence before, “just” fraud related stuff. But a criminal mind is a criminal mind. You can’t be a thief or a robber without being morally broken to begin with.
