Garner PD trying to set a world record speed arrest

Four minutes. That’s all it took to arrest the suspect in a local bank robbery.

Employees at the KS Bank at 920 Seventh Ave. gave police a description of the man who passed a note demanding money, they said, and Platoon Leader Grant Davis noticed (Suspect) near apartments across the street from the bank.

Police said (Suspect) ran when Davis approached him, but officers chased him down and arrested him at 12:12 p.m.

Pro-Tip: If you’re going to rob a bank, don’t hang about across the street while the police search for someone matching the robber’s description.

Why do I picture the cop hearing the description and saying to himself, “That sounds like (Suspect).”
