Only the guilty run, climb down the ladder, and jump into a freezing river
I’ve always found that when the police turn on their lights, it’s to my advantage to stop and talk to them. This guy decided differently.
A body that was pulled from the Cape Fear River earlier this month has been identified as that of a man who jumped into the water in January to avoid being arrested, Fayetteville police said today.
Why would he run?
It looks like the river saved us all a great deal of money in involuntary housing. It doesn’t look like he was the sort of person who was ever going to decide to start following the rules.
