Just when you thought you’d gotten away with it

Leopards do not change their spots.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police detectives say they have made an arrest in a 20-year-old sexual assault case.

They were re-examining the evidence on a cold case when they found a DNA match.


Look at his criminal history. Convicted of Indecent Liberties with a Child in 1985, he served a little over a year. Then after not being caught for this alleged rape incident he was convicted of Second Degree Rape and Second Degree Sexual Offense for an incident that occurred in 1997. Raping people just seems to be what he does.

For those who want to know, the difference between 1st and 2nd Degree Rape is whether or not you used a deadly weapon, or is “aided and abetted by one or more persons.”

    If you check the NC Sex Offender Registry, you’ll find out that there are about 190 people convicted of this type of crime (or worse) within 5 miles of where you live.

    The only reason many of them shouldn’t be in prison is that they should have been executed instead.
