Blog Policies including Reciprocal Links and email address

Here are the policies for An NC Gun Blog

  1. I do this for me, not for you. I hope you like it, but if you don’t, feel free to start your own blog and do it your way. Constructive criticism is great. Being an A-hole isn’t.
  2. If you write something stupid, ill-considered, or just plain dumb, I reserve the right to mock you. That goes both ways, though, so feel free.
  3. Threats of violence will be reported to the proper authorities.
  4. MikeB is banned. Yes, still, so don’t ask.
  5. Other than MikeB, I run a pretty wide open comments section. Obvious spam will be deleted of course, but other than that, say what you like. Try to stay on topic.
  6. If you need to contact me, it’s [email protected] . If you are giving me an actual news story that you’d like me to report on, all the usual rules of journalism apply. I will not divulge my sources, but you’ve got to convince me that you’re telling me the truth before I’m going to go out on a limb for you.
  7. I don’t do “reciprocal links.” If it’s in my blogroll, it’s because I read it. If I read it, it’ll show up in my blogroll. If you think I should be reading your blog, send me a link. If it survives a couple of weeks in my Google Reader, it’ll end up on my blogroll.
  8. There is no Policy #8
  9. If you have a product that can plausibly be considered firearm related that you’d like me to test out and review, send me an email. Bear in mind that if it sucks, I’m going to say so. I’m not what you’d call a “gear whore,” so what I actually need most is ammunition. I shoot a .45 ACP, 5.56, and a .22LR most often, but I can get a .38 Special if I need one.
  10. This policy was added solely to comply with the unwritten “When Writing Policy Pages there should be 3, 5, or 10 policies” policy.
