Another baby killed in senseless gun accident

Ban guns, the gun grabbers tell us. Only police and military should have guns, they say. Children will find the guns and there will be accidents. Here’s proof.
So what irresponsible gun owner left his gun unsecured for this child to play with?
Oops. The “irresponsible gun owner” was a Deputy Sheriff, and one of the few that the gun grabbers think are the “Only Ones” who should be allowed to have a gun.
Accidents happen. No matter how you try to Nerf the world, bad things will happen. Children will get a gun, play in traffic, or fall out of a window. Blaming guns in general isn’t the answer. Not that this will stop the gun grabbers.

Castle Doctrine with a great story (Video)

I don’t usually post about South Carolina. I’m going to make an exception for this one. Watch the video below.

He might have been in the palm of God’s hand, but it was his father that put him there. His father made sure that he had the tools and the mindset to help God keep his miracles hidden. They say that God helps those who help themselves. Officer Knight’s father made sure that young Todd Knight was able to help himself.
Sadly, giving an 11 year old unsupervised access to a gun is illegal in North Carolina. This story is another reason we need to repeal that stupid law.
The rest of the video has a good discussion of Castle and Stand Your Ground laws.

NCGV, Lies, Half-Truths, and the Anti-Gunner Way

You know, the gun grabbers are almost a bad parody of “The Chicago Way” in the Untouchables. We pull out facts, they lie harder. We point out problems with their argument; they change the subject and scream louder.

The latest hobby horse that North Carolinians against Gun Violence Ownership are trying to ride to relevance is the “Child Access Prevention” bandwagon. You see, it’s not that people do bad things, it’s that people don’t “properly secure” their firearms! Here’s their latest Tweet, the first in 8 days and only the 6th this month

NCGV breaks their radio silence to try to dance in the blood of a child shot in a school in Washington (AC*) when an 8 year old brought a gun from home and negligently discharged it from inside his book bag.

Wow, that puts a really different spin on things, doesn’t it? We have a drugged up convict mother in possession of what the child says is the father’s gun. The mother wasn’t “irresponsible,” she was a criminal! The father has what appear to be domestic violence protective orders against him. Are both of them prohibited persons? Are either of them legally allowed to own a gun?

Here’s the problem. If you have people who are barred by law from possession of a firearm, pissing and moaning that they didn’t “properly secure” that firearm is focusing on ants when elephants are stomping you to death. They also ignore that the child seems to be saying that it’s ok to bring a gun to school to solve a personal issue. Looking at his parent’s criminal records, I wonder where he learned that? They think that “One More Law™” will fix an already wildly dysfunctional family.

This goes to show you that the gun grabbers don’t care how they have to lie, cheat, and steal in order to violate your Second Amendment rights. They will do and say anything, and avoid, cover up, or just flat ignore reality to get what they want.

You start to wonder, though, if they even bother to read the whole story before they comment. They are always handing us the rope we use to hang them.

“I shot him two times with buckshot” (*Video*)

The 911 call has been released in the Henderson shooting. The 14 year old young man sounds like he handled himself well.

Go here to listen to the entire 911 call. Unfortunately I can’t embed it.

I’ve never heard someone call a woman “ma’am” so many times in my life. I hope that his grandfather hugs him tight and tells him how proud he is at this young man’s cool competence. I’d be proud if I, at 42 years old, handled myself so well.

“I’m perfectly fine, my sister, she’s really shaken up right now.”

I have no words.

Remember this incident the next time you hear another gun grabber begging the State to require all guns be locked up away from the hands of children. Their laws would have spelled the death of this brave young man and his sister.

Update: I couldn’t find the dead intruder in the DOC database, but I did find the guy they arrested and one of the two that they are seeking.

Arrested Suspect

Felons, the both of them. Not that this should surprise anyone.
